The move to Brooklyn has been a little rough on this lady.  She has always traveled so well in the past.  It was foolish of me to think her dog brain would think it was just another trip.  Shes working on getting up and down some tricky stairs and Im getting a pretty good workout in the meantime.  She has already managed to poop without grass and the metal grates everywhere arent so intimidating anymore.  We'll have the hang of it pretty soon.  Im taking back every time Ive thought that it would be nice to have a dog without the stubborn executive decision making skills that Mathilde shows most of the time.  Our relationship is changing a lot right now.  Ive always felt that I needed her more than she needed me, but its the other way around right now.  Its only been a few days.  Im not sure how exactly to teach a dog to be brave again.  Ive never known her as anything but during the last 5 years.
